Look who has arrived!! It's CHINO! This little bundle of joy is the cutest thing ever. Rich named him and is getting loads of special cuddles from this gentle and precious little doggie. mum adores him and dad is besotted.

A message for Rich from Khan

Richard was discharged from his first block of therapy at the Western Cape Rehab Centre today. He spent 6 weeks as in-patient and the goal which was to get the best range for seating and the final decision on the best chair for him, has been achieved. Rich now sits at almost 90degrees and his legs are almost sitting on the foot rests in the correct position. This is a huge improvement and with good posture and seating, things can only get better. His new chair has now been ordered and as this has to be custom made, it should be ready in 6-8 weeks. At the moment he is using a demo chair which is the new chair is modelled on.
We are now home and will continue intense therapy at home with our out-patient rehab therapists.
The goal is to continue with daily physio, daily OT, twice weekly speech and twice weekly swallowing.
We will also add Cranio Sacral and remedial massage once to twice a week, so needless to say Rich will be a busy boy.
He will soon be jointed by his little bundle of chocolate fluff which is being collected tomorrow and will become an integral part of #Team Rich.
Proud of you Rich as it was not easy to be back in hospital again after such prolonged hospital stays already, but you did it and the goal was achieved.
Keep working hard and all the little steps of improvement can only add up and one day soon, you will even surprise yourself.

Planning a little cuddly surprise for Rich when he comes back home next week after his 6 weeks in rehab. A precious little brown bundle of fur to keep him company. Toy poodle. We are beyond excited. Asked Rich if he had a little brown poodle, what would he call it and he spelt "chino". So little chino he will be and we will have a lot of cappuccino to celebrate his arrival.

Conrad Jantjes and Egon Seconds visit Rich enroute to Dubai for the Fighting Chance event which takes place in Dubai next Friday night.
Lots of laughs as Conrad told us how he plans to take on his opponent.
This event promises to be loads of fun and BOYB and Rich Holland are in awe of and so grateful too the rugby legends that have agreed to box for Rich.
Conrad will be joined by Bolla Conradie and the 2 Springboks will help to make up the team representing the Southern Hemisphere as they take up their gloves against fellow rugby players from the North.

RICH in his trial chair. His own chair will now be made as the physio is happy with his range and his posture and he is now ready to be fitted with his custom chair.
